Greetings and salutations from the Local Blend, and from us, Jeff and Stacie Engholm, the new owners as of May (my how time flies!). This is our first communication with all of you and I would like to welcome you to our email list, which at some point in the past two years or so you signed up for. Of course, if you wish to be removed, simply reply that request. But I hope you will stay with us and take part with what we hope will be a vibrant part of the culture of the St Joe, Collegeville, and greater St Cloud Area. Rest assured, we don't share our list with anyone.

There is so much to share about things that are happening or are about to happen at the Local, like the new menu, fantastic new wine list, organic produce and granola, local hormone free dairy, and the same great Muggsy's Beans roasted coffee that has been fueling your life for the past 15 years in St Joseph. But for a first communication I will keep this to the point...

On Tuesday, August 19th, at 7:00pm, we will be celebrating the artwork of local artist Bob McCoy. You may have seen his sculpture work at the at the former downtown Ciatti's, but now come and enjoy his beautiful paintings. The collection is about that most precious of resources, Water, and Bob has a distinct command of the element in these masterful works.

Come, meet the artist, other art lovers and friends, discuss, enjoy. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided. The wine list (proudly created by local sommelier Nick Barth of the Veranda Lounge, downtown, St Cloud) will be in full swing. I have attatched a few samples of the collection for you to peruse.

We will be in touch again soon with lots more exciting news as the 2008-2009 school year begins. Welcome back Bennies and Johnnies!
