McGrew creek flows into the woods.....beautiful

McGrew backyard natural water diversion near completion

Follow-up on prior McGrew Creek post. Here is the rest of the project...which we finally completed today. The natural swale now has a border and the Diane's stepping stone path has been revised (thanks to Ryan and Michelle for doing the foundational work)

McGrew creek 2011 enhancements

The McGrew creek project continues. This year we have let some pretty natural ground cover grow at the "headwaters" of the creek. Fred and Freddie Frog, guardians of the water way, look more natural with this colored cover.

Maddie and Lola after the play

Maddie had one of the leads in the summer camp production of Twinderelia. She was Bob, the long lost twin of Cinderella. AWESOME job Maddie. Little sis Lola was not to enamored with photo shot afterwards

Family heirloom.

My Great Grandpa Metzel would be proud of his creation. Finally hung in our beautiful home, being givens it's due. He handmade this Hail Mary circa early 1900's. He also crafted the Lords Prayer and others that are cherished by our family. Posted by Di.

Pickin up sticks

I hate picking up sticks in my yard as I am 6 feet and my back gets tired. Thanks to Jerry for this great idea. Using this extension grabber and pulling a plastic sled for the sticks I did my entire yard without a hitch. AWESOME.
