Local Blend buzz: A busy week of entertainment

FROM EMAIL SENT FROM LOCAL BLEND (ST. JOE'S BEST COFFEE HOUSE)

So... this week's events...

TONIGHT.... OPEN POETRY EXCHANGE!!!!

Come and share in the joy of the written (spoken) word with local poet Jeff Carmack. Read you own, someone's else's, whatever you'd like, or just come and enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious appetizer and soak it all in!

THEN... Friday night..

CANNERY ROW at 7pm. A little earlier show. (We've been trying to get all our weekend shows to start at 8... perhaps a good New year's Resolution!) This is a folk-rock revival with the most fun bunch of musicians around. These guys will get the place hootin and hollerin' so get your weekend started right with CANNERY ROW!

Saturday the 22nd... Drew Peterson (of 40 Watt Bulb)

Drew is back with another great show. One of the best up and coming songwriters in Minnesota, Drew puts on a GREAT show and this should be no exception!!!! Folk-rock, again, and lyric skill that can't be beat.

AND FINALLY....

No email next week... we will have OPEN MIC on Tuesday (thanks for another GREAT one last night!!) , but then we are CLOSED on Thanksgiving, and will not have any music that weekend. BUT, the following weekend we have

JAKE BRAKING on Saturday the 6th, and ...

A VERY SPECIAL SHOW ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7th. Featuring Charlie Parr, the Floorbirds, and Jeff Mitchell. This is an AFTERNOON SHOW, from 2:30 to 6. $12 cover!!!! But this is going to be an INCREDIBLE SHOW!!!
